Adnams Awarded Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development – for the Third Time!

We are thrilled to announce that Adnams has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development – for the third time! This honour recognizes our enduring commitment to sustainability, and our continued position as one of the leading businesses for sustainable practice in the UK.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious business award in the UK, and is awarded to companies that have shown outstanding achievement in their field. Adnams is one of only 19 companies in the UK to receive the award for sustainable development, and we are extremely proud to be counted among this elite group.

Our Commitment to Sustainable Business Practices

At Adnams, we build sustainable business practices throughout our organization, from the ingredients we buy for our beers and spirits to the way we select suppliers and the way we operate our facilities.

One of our most visible sustainable initiatives is our fully sustainable eco distribution centre, which has one of the largest green roofs in the UK, and is home to over one million honey bees. We also operate one of Europe’s most energy-efficient breweries, using 100% renewable electricity and sending zero waste to landfill.

But our commitment to sustainability doesn't stop there. We believe in sharing knowledge and collaborating with other businesses and communities, and for 29 years, we have been donating 1% of our profits to the Adnams Community Trust, and supporting more than 350 charitable causes separately.

Our CEO, Dr Andy Wood, OBE, DL, spoke about our commitment to sustainability, saying: “Our company values are rooted in making great products without costing the earth. For many years, we’ve been committed to running our business in a responsible, sustainable way. From selecting suppliers we work with, through to the ingredients we buy for our beers and spirits, we look at all aspects of production and the whole of the business to make sure we’re doing the right thing.”

I would like to once again thank our customers for their continued support, which is so important to us, and our incredible teams who live our values every day and enable us to be recognized at the highest levels.”
